San Antonio | Five 2 Go Vlog Ep. 19

We only had a few days in San Antonio, TX but we really got to experience a lot! For some reason though we didn’t film very much, so we decided to compile this short video of highlights for you.

We stayed at River Walk RV Park which was in a great location with a bus stop right outside the front gate. That allowed us to ride into town and back so we didn’t have to worry about parking. The first evening we were in town we hopped on the bus and checked out the San Antonio River Walk. This area of town is full of shops and restaurants and is just beautiful for a stroll any time of day.

The next day we went over to the Stock Show and Rodeo to take in all the festivities. When we originally made plans to visit San Antonio we didn’t even know the rodeo was going to be in town, so that was a great added bonus. The kids loved seeing all of the animals and cowboys, but the highlight was definitely the 5-day old horse that was kicking and charging around his pen. The rodeo is a *huge* deal in San Antonio and we would have loved to see the actual rodeo events in the arena, but we didn’t think that the two youngest would have enjoyed it or sat long enough for us to get our money’s worth, so we just stuck to visiting the animals 🙂

On our final day in San Antonio we rode the bus out to the Historic Market Square for some shopping, food, and facepainting. After the girls got gorgeous designs on their faces we walked back through town and found an amazing playground. The Hemisfair Park Playground was mostly closed for construction, but the area that was open was a huge hit with the kids. There was a water fountain in a long “aqueduct” that poured out into a huge sandbox. Needless to say everyone required a wardrobe change afterward, but they had so much fun!
